Deep Blue Sodalite
in Argentium Sterling Silver

This pendant displays a beautiful Deep Blue Sodalite with whimsical movement of white gracefully flowing through it.
The mineral sodalite is named for its sodium content. As a gemstone, sodalite is usually deep blue, often with a violet tint, and frequently contains white veins of calcite.

This stone is hand cut by me and it is wrapped in Argentium Sterling Silver wire.  It is displayed on a Sterling Silver chain.
It is approximately 37 carats in weight and 2 inches in length from the top of the bail to the bottom of the stone. It is about 1 ¾ inches in width at the widest point.

Argentium® Sterling Silver is a patented and trademarked alloy that is at least 92.5% pure silver, just like traditional sterling silver. What makes it different from traditional sterling silver is that a small amount of germanium replaces some of the copper that is usually the other 7.5% of sterling silver. Peter Johns, a professor of silversmithing at Middlesex University in England, invented Argentium® Sterling Silver in 1996.

Argentium® Sterling Silver
• highly tarnish-resistant.
• does not firescale.
