Dendritic Agate
|
|||
This is a Dendritic Agate with crystal inclusions. This stone is misty gray, and has cloudy billows inside of it with varying opacities. The dendrites resemble dried ferns or trees. There are some flecks of rust to red in the dendrites, which gives the stone a warm, painterly feel. A dendritic agate is one that has markings that look like little trees within the pattern. It is wrapped in Argentium Sterling Silver wire. It is approximately 2 ½ from bail to bottom of pendant and is displayed on a sterling silver chain. Argentium® Sterling Silver is a patented and trademarked alloy that is at least 92.5% pure silver, just like traditional sterling silver. What makes it different from traditional sterling silver is that a small amount of germanium replaces some of the copper that is usually the other 7.5% of sterling silver. Peter Johns, a professor of silversmithing at Middlesex University in England, invented Argentium® Sterling Silver in 1996. Argentium® Sterling Silver is highly tarnish-resistant and does not firescale. Includes 18" Sterling Silver Chain Free Shipping |
